The two townhouses built on this prominent beach front location were designed to incorporate the design led architecture.
Due to the geometry of the building, transverse walls to resist lateral loading were not feasible.
We devised some innovative detailing which allowed the centre longitudinal wall to resist transverse loading.
This facilitated the desired open plan layout and allowed the building to make the most of the sea views.
We coordinated with steel fabricators to achieve the curved roof detailing, ensuring that tight tolerances and bend radii were achievable.
The result is a landmark structure on a stunning location.
