Quetta St – Townhouse Development
This development consisted of 3 blocks of houses. With each block having significant engineering difficulties.
Block A is a four-storey building with a transverse wall at the second storey. This required a vertical steel truss four storeys tall for lateral loads.
Block B required a 6m cantilever concrete wall below the main access route for construction materials to Block A. Construction staging for this was carefully designed and implemented. Block B also features tall atrium walls with discontinuous roof elements.
Block C required extensive cantilevering steelwork over its garages.
