The driveway was originally designed using timber poles.
Upon excavation it was found that the survey did not extend far enough into the adjacent property and so did not accurately reflect the real cut heights.
Time-critical designs were needed for a 3.5m wall in poor material.
Some slips created the opportunity to use light-weight backfill material and hence keep the design essentially the same for most of the length.
Where retaining the original poor material, passive anchors (soil nails) were used, with a pole-wall facing.
