This car parking area was made awkward by the lack of right-angles along one side. The car deck tapers from a wide entry to a narrow end.

This meant a custom steel connection was needed in the corner.

The WCC require a barrier around the perimeter of a car deck that can arrest the motion of a slow-moving car. Steel brackets were impractical due to the height of the deck above ground level, but were also undesirable for aesthetic reasons.

Our solution was a steel wire connected to the road-side foundations combined with a wheel-stop. This has minimal aesthetic impact while preserving the life-safety of the car deck’s users.
